In Memoriam

This page honors our lost Teardrop friends.

Arthur Pratt - Sept. 2009

Arthur Pratt really loved being a part of the teardropper family and teardrops.  He wanted to build one.  We remember him attended Spring Fling for many years coming in his camper, hanging out with us and learning more so he could build the teardrop of his dreams.  His wife Darlene was originally apprehensive about his plans to build this small trailer but the more she learned she warmed up to the idea and to teardroppers too.  Arthur fought cancer for many years that limited his ability to accomplish this dream.  Many may remember Arthur as the "Deaf Guy", but we will also remember him as the guy with a dream in his heart and as a part of our teardropper family.

Arthur E. Pratt, age 52, passed away in his sleep at his home in Napavine, Washington after a long battle with cancer on Sunday, September 13, 2009.  Art was born May 4, 1957 in Long Beach, California.  Moving to Washington as a youth, he attended Adna High School near Chehalis.  He then went on to Clover Park Technical College in Tacoma graduating as an Automotive Collision Technician.

After learning the trade he opened his body shop, Art's Body Shop in Winlock, Washington.  Art operated his shop for 20 plus years before he moved his interests to real estate.  His hobbies were fishing, hunting, camping and gold panning.

Ed Colvin - Jan. 2009

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Ed Colvin.  Ed passed away peacefully on January 25, 2009 in Portland, OR.  He was 84 years old.

Ed had been our oldest teardropper.  He attended many events in his teardrop, starting in 2000.
